SOCCER TABLE

This was an internal Project for the social and advertising angency Elbkind.
The soccer table in the elbkind office Hamburg is like every other soccer table on the planet. I wanted to change that and bring a digital experience to the previous analog-only game.

To enhance the analog experience with a digital component, I upgraded the existing soccer table with light barrier sensors, a wifi enabled microprocessor and a webservice based on NodeJS which processed the data.
After the basic functionality (showing realtime scores on a seperate screen) were implemented, I also created user profiles & lobbies, tracked 1v1 and 2v2 matches, added a league system and set up a twitter bot to broadcast results to the world.
